My kind!...

Tell me what my kind can't do
What my kind can and can't make
Can and can't achieve

My kind!

Tell me how we're all just losers
All just poor
Tell me how we can't make any money
Can't fend for ourselves
Tell me how being my kind will get me nowhere
And I'll tell you that I love being a part of my kind

The creative
The overexaggeraters
The eccentric, outcasts, and rebels
The artists, dancers, and writers
The actors, photographers, and models
The innovative, self-defined, and strange
All linked and intertwined
Connecting on some level

My kind...

They're the best kind out there
No one can take away their gifts
No one can tell them to stop
Because their will always be someone who appreciates them
Because we appreciate each other
Bound by some unspoken commradery

Just because you never fit in with my kind
Doesn't mean I have to stop
The creativity never stops
It pauses every now and again but it always recovers
You can't stifle creativty
Because it has a power all it's own
Uncontrollable and beautiful

Do not depend on other people to support you, do not lean on someone else and expect them to solve your problems for you. Instead hold their hand, let them help, that way you can just let go if needed…

I like this, but I don't think you have to quote "my kind" throughout. I think if you dropped the quotes after the first few repetitions it would really give the words strength and drive, make them more personal. Also, you use the word 'apart' but that means separate, and not ';part of' which is the opposite of your meaning there, I think.

I admire your determination and optimism here! Keep up the good work!
